Buckling is a common failure mode for cans. Apex CAE has extensive experience in setting up non-linear models to simulate this behavior. For a given design, we can provide the critical compression force at the onset of buckling as well as the large non-linear deformation post buckling, based on which we can provide insights on the mitigation solutions.
