Fatigue

FEA based fatigue simulation is a powerful tool to evaluate the durability of a design. Although physical tests are often needed to validate absolute fatigue life, they are typically not efficient in terms of time and cost. As a comparison, FEA based fatigue simulation is much quicker to provide timely guidance to design decisions. Fatigue simulation is also particularly useful in highlighting the high-risk regions, which is not as straight forward in traditional FEA simulations. For example, in a highly dynamic loading cycle, it is difficult to interpret the risk as stress or strain contours needs to be analyzed frame by frame. Instead fatigue simulation evaluate the accumulative damage over the entire cycle and therefore is much more straight forward. At M force, we have developed work flow to evaluate fatigue life with various approaches (stress life, strain life etc.). We can provide help to design process from very early concept stage.

Accumulated damage can be modeled by FEA based fatigue analysis
